JENNIFER TURNER - A QUICK BIO!

Jennifer Turner owns and operates “A Moment in Time Portrait Design” one of Austin’s premier children’s portrait studios. Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in portrait photography and was one of the first “niched” studios focusing only on children’s portraiture in the late 90’s. To survive the insurgence of children’s photographers, Jennifer has learned how to “micro-niche” her studio and survive as a retail business in a difficult and saturated industry. Her love of teaching has inspired her to present across the country on newborn photography, her speciality. She has owned both home based and retail based studios and current houses her studio in a 140 year old Texas Plantation home with full gardens.

Jennifer is a PPA Photographic Craftsman, Fellow for TPPA & PPAA, and ASP Fellow, a member of PPA, WPPI, & the President and Founder of Children & Family Photographers of America. She is an award winning photographer and served as Folio Photographer of the Year in Austin as well as a runner up for Photographer of the Year and Folio Photographer of the Year every year she has entered since joining. She is now working towards her Master Degree for PPA. She is well versed in Photoshop & Corel Painter and teaches programs for both. Her love of teaching has been inspired by those who held out their hand to her when she was first starting out.
