June 2009 • Carla Pendergraft on Marketing with Social Media
Monday, June 8th, 7:00pm at Accurate Image
Facebook and Twitter are all the rage these days. But what’s the “right” way to set up a Facebook page? Do you use Groups, or Pages, or just a personal profile? Is there a way to “jazz up” the Facebook interface? And how can you use Twitter in a way that can profit your business, or is it all just a waste of time? Carla Pendergraft of Carla Pendergraft Associates Web Design, will cover these topics and more.
Carla Pendergraft is a highly regarded speaker on topics related to internet marketing and web design. When she first spoke to our guild in the summer of 2004 she gave us guidance on search engine optimization. During her talk she pulled up a Google search for “photographer waco”. Not a single local photographer appeared until the third page… and that was a page on her site talking about a local photographer. A number of us put in place the simple instructions she provided and within weeks the entire first page and beyond of the same Google search was full of real local Waco photographers. Her advice in this presentation will likely be just as valuable.
Note, this is our last Monday meeting at Accurate Image. Beginning next month our meetings will be on the second Tuesday of the month. Location and programs to be announced.
