Darrin Hill
on Children's Portraits

Darrin Hill is one of the youngest master photographers in the state of Texas. He received his PPA certification and his Masters of Photography in 1998, and his Craftsmen in 2002. He has a Full Fellowship Degree from the Professional Photographic Guild of Houston, and an Associate fellowship degree from the Texas Professional Photographers Association. He is currently the President of the Brazos Valley Guild of Professional Photographers, Print Competition Chairman for the Professional Photographic Guild of Houston, and recently won Photographer of the Year, 2006, from the PPGH, along with best wedding album, best portrait, best children, and best commercial for 2006

He has a wide variety of speaking interests, including Weddings, Children's Marketing and Portraiture, Commercial Photography and Senior Portraiture. He believes that as photographers, we all should know how to shoot anything, even if it is outside our comfort zone.

Portraits of Children
Relax is the key word. Darrin has been photographing children for over 10 years and has developed a relaxed style of portraiture that shows the natural beauty and joyfulness of being a child. Key points covered are marketing, sales relationships, follow-ups, and how to deal with clients that can't talk. Darrin has a very entertaining way with young children and the unique ability to take a situation that most photographers would find uncontrollable and turn it into an award winning/profitable experience. We will go over holiday specials, return clients and how to keep them returning, and other marketing aspects as relating to children's portraiture.

Parking

The small white house next to Accurate image is now part of the Accurate Image property. You're welcome to park in the vacant area behind that house. You can enter by going down the driveway along the side of the Accurate Image building. You can exit either the same way you came in or by using the driveway on the other side of the house.

Admission charge: No charge for members, $15 for guests.
